Outside Amegakure.
Rain fell from the sky, unusually cold for winter.
Shin wore a raincoat, with Kamado and Kakashi standing at his sides.
After learning that visitors from Konoha had arrived, the Amegakure guards quickly went to report it.
Before long, an orange-haired young man personally came to the gate to receive them.
"Guests from Konoha, huh." Yahiko laughed heartily. He remembered Kamado; he had been the one who delivered Konoha's first letter.
He then turned his gaze to Shin, who stood at the head of the three. Though surprised by how young they all were, his smile did not fade. "May I ask your name?"
Maruboshi Kosuke and Might Duy had completely changed his view of Konoha ninja. Even if these were three youths, he did not dare underestimate them.
Shin said, "Mr. Yahiko, do you remember the person you corresponded with?"
Yahiko was slightly surprised. Hadn't he been corresponding with the Hokage?
Kamado spoke up then. "This is our Hokage's assistant, as well as the head of our Hyuga Clan, Hyuga Shin."
Yahiko did not ask further. "So it is Lord Shin. Please, let us speak inside the village."
A tall, graceful woman had come with Yahiko as well. Her short blue-violet hair was tied into a bun, with a paper flower pinned in it.
Yahiko introduced her to Shin as Konan. Unfortunately, Shin had no mind to spare for this beauty right now.
After entering Amegakure with Yahiko, Shin continued surveying the village. Tall towers stood everywhere, crisscrossed by enormous drainage pipes. Residential areas were built among many elevated towers as well. It was likely due to the Land of Rain's climate; the area was prone to flooding.
Along the way, Shin asked, "Mr. Yahiko, how does it feel to take charge of Amegakure?"
Yahiko merely chuckled.
