After Shin linked the giant Tenseigan to the Temple of Samsara, a vast spatial rift appeared above Konoha, and he spotted a mysterious girl in the rain.

• The Sage of Six Paths explained that Orochimaru’s splitting soul fragments had forced the Shinigami into slumber, leaving souls without a managed path to the Pure Land.
