"Living Buddha, you would rather snap than bend, and would never make the slightest deal with evil demons!
You would rather bear the karma of ten thousand ages than let Them go uncut—
That is wisdom!"

He stepped toward Ji Gong, his gaze blazing.
"There is a saying in Buddhism: If I do not enter hell, who will?
Sage Monk Hanshan's authority is about to fall into the hands of an evil god.
Living Buddha! This authority...
Who else but you?!"
The four words echoed over the ruins, shaking fragments of stone loose in a rustling cascade.
