One strand, two strands, three strands...
Before he knew how much time had passed, it might have been a year, three years, or perhaps eight or ten years. More likely, it had been several decades, or even one or two hundred years.

In the end, the space around the two Profound Soul spiritual bodies had been completely enveloped by countless densely packed, delicate threads of light. From afar, they looked like a silver-white sphere radiating dazzling light.
Each thread of light was constantly changing, resembling strange Spirit Patterns as they intertwined and wound around one another.
The threads of light shot and darted about, entering Qin Fengming's two Profound Soul spiritual bodies before rapidly shooting out from the other body, as if shuttles were weaving back and forth.
Only now, the threads of light were no longer like they had been at the beginning, disappearing after a single flash. Instead, they remained gathered around Qin Fengming, refusing to disperse.
Within the encircling threads of light, Qin Fengming's two Profound Soul spiritual bodies remained with their eyes closed. Their tiny bodies sat cross-legged without moving. If not for the occasional twitch of their fingers, one might have thought they were two small, exquisitely carved crystal statues.
The two Profound Soul spiritual bodies seemed to have no sensation at all toward the bright threads constantly passing through their bodies. Nor did the threads piercing through their Spirit Bodies cause them any harm.
