Bai Ge's Great Horn had actually scared Zhao Wuji into submission—an outcome no one had expected.
And so, the test ended in an anticlimactic fashion.
Everything returned to normal. Other than Bai Ge, if Tang San and the other three could last An Incense Stick in Dai Mubai's hands, what suspense could there possibly be?
After the assessment, Dai Mubai led them straight to the dormitories.
Before Dai Mubai could finish speaking, Zhu Zhuqing found herself a wooden cabin, shut the door, and refused to come out.
Seeing Dai Mubai's Erkang Hand, Bai Fan nearly laughed himself to death on the spot.
Ning Rongrong said, "Xiao Wu, how about we share a dorm room?"
Xiao Wu glanced at Tang San and smiled. "Sure. Then please take care of me, Rongrong."
Bai Ge looked at Tang San. "Fine, then the two of us will share a room."
"Alright." Tang San nodded.
After making their beds, Bai Ge still wanted to test the waters. He asked, "Tang San, where's your Thousand Machine Box?"
"The Thousand Machine Box was lost long ago..." Halfway through his sentence, Tang San suddenly realized something and exclaimed in shock, "You're from the Tang Sect too?"
"No, I'm Tiance," Bai Ge answered solemnly.
When Tang San had fought Dai Mubai, he had still thrown a few ordinary hidden weapons, such as flying daggers.
So, Tang San was not surprised that his fighting style had been recognized.
Tang San gave a bitter smile. "The Thousand Machine Box was lost after the late Tang Dynasty. Not only the Thousand Machine Box—the Heavenly Net Mysterious Path and Startling Feather Art also remain only as names recorded in old texts."
"I was wondering why you, a member of the Tang Sect, practiced an internal cultivation method from a Daoist lineage."
"What about you?" Tang San was very curious. He had never expected to meet someone from the same homeland after transmigrating.
"I have it even worse. By the era I lived in, even martial arts had ceased to exist. All that remained was the name Tiance."
Tang San and Bai Ge looked at each other in silence.
Bai Ge was not lying to Tang San.
Although Tiance had only existed as a sect in an online game from his previous life, and he himself had merely been a player—an ordinary person who knew no martial arts—
In this Douluo Continent where he had no family or friends, when Tang San could proudly declare that he was a disciple of the Tang Sect, only two words echoed in Bai Ge's heart—
Tiance.
From seventeen to twenty-seven, he had given his most glorious ten years to Jian San, to Tiance.
"Slay all evildoers for Tiance's cause; with spear in hand, guard the soul of Great Tang alone."
To him, Tiance was both faith and home.
It was the identity he acknowledged most deeply in his heart!
Even though his Martial Soul was the Golden Saint Cloth, not Tiance's Great Orange Weapon—Tears of Blood.
Overwhelmed by surging emotions, Bai Ge could not help letting out a long roar. Soul Power surged through him, his blood and qi churned, and the medicinal power accumulated in his body after six years of consuming herbs such as ginseng, lingzhi, tiger bone, and snow lotus erupted all at once. It forcefully raised his Soul Power by another two ranks, bringing him to level thirty-nine!
Since transmigrating here, although Qian Renxue had given him a bond, a reason to remain on Douluo Continent, he had always been lonely.
But today, he had finally untied this knot in his heart.
"But why is your Martial Soul armor instead of a spear?"
Tang San stabbed Bai Ge right in the heart again.
"How the hell should I know? I clearly specialized in Proud Blood for twenty years! I'm not Iron Prison!"
"You two little brats, why aren't you sleeping in the middle of the night? What the hell are you doing?!"
Zhao Wuji's furious voice rang out!
"We're going to sleep!" Bai Ge hurriedly called back before flopping onto the bed.
Yet he did not hear the system prompt:
Congratulations, Host, for resolving your obsession. Reward: second Martial Soul—Tears of Blood. Reward: internal cultivation technique "Proud Blood Battle Intent" integrated.
Early the next morning, Bai Ge pushed open the door and stepped out of the dormitory.
Tang San had just returned after cultivating his Purple Demon Eyes.
Bai Ge waved. "Morning, Xiao San. By the way, have you eaten breakfast?"
"Uh, not yet."
"Do you know where the cafeteria is?"
Tang San froze for a moment. "This... it seems Dai Mubai didn't mention it yesterday."
"Forget it. We'll look for it later."
The two walked to the door of Xiao Wu and Ning Rongrong's dormitory, but neither of them went in.
"Xiao Wu, are you there?" Tang San knocked lightly on the door and called softly.
After waiting a while, Rongrong and Xiao Wu came out.
Tang San and Bai Ge had not waited long.
The four of them followed the smoke from cooking fires, searching for the cafeteria along the village road. Before they knew it, they had reached the outskirts of the village.
Xiao Wu frowned. "Why haven't we found the cafeteria yet? I'm starving to death."
Tang San also gave a bitter smile. "Let's keep looking for a little longer. If we still can't find it, we'll buy some food from one of the villagers."
Just then, a burst of commotion came from nearby. The four looked toward the sound and saw a boy and a girl arguing not far ahead.
The young pair did not look very old. The girl seemed to be around fourteen or fifteen.
She looked ordinary, but radiated youthful vitality. Dressed in simple peasant clothes, she was likely a villager's daughter.
The boy arguing with her looked even younger, seemingly about the same age as Tang San and Xiao Wu.
He was short, and though plump all over, he gave off a solid, sturdy impression.
He had short hair and small eyes, with fat cheeks puffed up from the flesh on his face. He actually looked rather adorable.
The funniest part was the two tiny mustaches above his lips, which seemed to have just appeared after puberty. No matter how one looked at them, they resembled a pair of rat whiskers.
The girl looked at the little fatty, fear showing in her eyes. "Ma Hongjun, don't come looking for me anymore. I won't be with you."
The little fatty spoke in an odd tone. "Cui Hua, haven't I treated you well? Why do you want to break up with me?"
Tang San and Xiao Wu exchanged a glance, both seeing the amusement in each other's eyes. Kids these days really did fall in love early, talking about breaking up at such a young age.
They could not help stopping to watch with interest from the side.
Ning Rongrong glanced at Bai Ge, then huffed and stomped her foot.
Cui Hua's face suddenly flushed. "You have treated me well, but I really can't stand you.
"We aren't suited for each other. You should find someone else.
"Besides, I'm several years older than you. We really aren't suitable. Please, don't come looking for me again."
The little fatty, Ma Hongjun, snapped angrily, "What do you mean, you can't stand me?
"I really don't understand what you girls are thinking.
"Fine, we can break up. But come do it with me one more time, and I'll break up with you. Otherwise, no way."
As he spoke, the little fatty reached out to grab Cui Hua.
Like a startled rabbit, Cui Hua hurriedly backed away. But the little fatty was fast, and he still grabbed her hand.
Cui Hua pleaded, "No, not again. Please let me go. Are you even human?"
Xiao Wu could not stand it any longer. She leaped out in a single step. "Stop!"
Readers familiar with Little Ha's books know that the protagonists in my stories must learn Tiance martial arts.
The earliest two books were previously removed.
While writing the last book, Martial Dao Sword Immortal, I had a breakdown in mentality.
I started writing this one on a whim after rewatching the Douluo animation. It can also be considered a follow-up sister story to Martial Dao Sword Immortal, barely enough to count as an explanation.
