Though Aglaea was clearly the backbone and de facto leader of the Chrysos Heirs, Hua Yi was now the one making the battle plan.
Would there even be a battle?
In any case, when Hua Yi said he would settle it, he did not mean killing [Strife].
There!
Did anyone call you? Why are you saying "there"?
They did!
Phainon and Mydei, whom Hua Yi had called by name, quickly arrived and awaited instructions.
"Going to subjugate [Strife]? I'm ready to go at any time."
Phainon was as he had always been, waving to Hua Yi in greeting, but the other man had clearly grown more taciturn.
"Say something, Mydei."
Hua Yi walked over with a smile and patted the warrior's shoulder.
"You are the crown prince of Castrum Kremnos, and the people of Castrum Kremnos worship the Titan of Strife. According to the oracle, the Chrysos Heirs must bring down the Titans and inherit their divine authority. Would that put you under any psychological pressure?"
"..."
Mydei fell silent for a moment.
Yesterday, he had challenged Hua Yi, only to be defeated by a single drop of water and sent into slumber. When he woke early this morning, he still felt lost, as though he had fallen into a dream.
What had happened?
As one of the Chrysos Heirs' strongest combatants, Mydei had not understood it at all!
The only thing he could be certain of was that he had slept exceptionally well.
"To the people of Castrum Kremnos, the death of the body is not true death. Casting aside honor is what cannot be endured—if I can defeat [Strife] on the battlefield, that will be my honor. There is absolutely no pressure."
"It's good that you understand. Saves me from having to play psychologist."
Hua Yi nodded approvingly.
