The early sun slowly rose. Along the walls of the prison courtyard, dozens of soldiers stood or sat. In front of them was a prisoner in a prison uniform, speaking animatedly about something and occasionally provoking laughter from the soldiers.
The prisoner was named Kevin Moore, known as the most famous con artist of the century as well as a master escape artist. Because he was involved with the military's classified intelligence of the Geya Alliance, he had been imprisoned in Gakbak Prison.
A master escape artist like him generally would not be released from his cell, but today, Warden Skain had authorized all the prisoners to come out for fresh air.
Although Kevin Moore was a master escape artist, he had no intention of escaping today. Any one of the dozens of soldiers in front of him could kill him on the spot within five seconds. Escaping under the eyes of dozens of Slaughter Troop soldiers was practically suicide.
The dozens of Slaughter Troop soldiers watched Kevin Moore's performance with great interest. They had just returned from the front lines.
"Kevin Moore, I heard you're a master escape artist?"
A bald soldier rose to his feet and slowly walked toward Kevin Moore.
"I'll give you ten seconds. If you can escape ten meters, I'll give you my breakfast this morning."
The bald soldier removed his black military uniform, revealing an upper body covered in scars.
Kevin Moore swallowed.
"Really?"
"Would I need to lie to you? Begin."
At the word "begin," Kevin Moore immediately lowered his body. He pressed both hands against the ground, and the muscles in his legs bulged, splitting his trouser legs.
Three seconds later, Kevin Moore was pinned to the ground, his panting kicking up dust.
"What a... monster."
