The water was bone-chilling. To be safe, Su Xiao did not let Baha or A'Mu enter the pool. Instead, he observed the situation near it, in case any enemies appeared and blocked their retreat.

Bubbles rose from the bottom of the pool. Through the faint light above, Su Xiao vaguely saw a huge creature at the bottom. It was semi-transparent and lay motionless, but it was not dead. Rather, it had fallen into slumber.
Su Xiao took out a small oxygen tank. After taking a deep breath, he swept his gaze around. Based on the information provided by Bubu Wang, he soon found an opening in the pool wall fifty meters below the surface.
The opening was three meters wide, pitch-black inside, like a huge mouth underwater, waiting to devour anyone who approached.
Su Xiao stomped through the water and charged into the opening. He then pressed a thin film over his right eye. It was an underwater night-vision device, with an effective duration of twenty minutes.
He swam forward through the opening. Everything around him was pitch-black. Apart from the sound of water stirred up by his swimming, the surroundings were deathly quiet, creating tremendous mental pressure.
After swimming for at least ten minutes, Su Xiao discovered that the passage had begun to slope slowly upward. In less than five minutes, a faint light appeared diagonally above him.
With a splash, Su Xiao surfaced. He let out a long breath of stale air. He was in a small pool three meters in diameter. There was a gap at the pool's edge, through which a trickle of clear water flowed. It followed a channel carved into the ground and ran off into the distance.
Su Xiao looked around. This was a natural cavern. It was not dim inside, and
