The Ironfeather King's corpse lay on the ground, palm facing downward. Without a sound, his palm split open, and a small black snake crawled out from within. This was the Serpent of the Abyss. The Ironfeather King had lost, and naturally, it hadn't fared much better.
The Serpent of the Abyss quietly burrowed into the maple leaves, just as a foot came down.
Su Xiao pinched the Serpent of the Abyss by the head with two fingers. Once it shrank, he could see its entire form clearly. It was a fork-tailed snake.
"Come out."
Su Xiao sat beside the Ironfeather King's corpse, the Serpent of the Abyss clamped between his fingertips.
"Haha, what a lively scene."
The mixed-blood ancient god Ursula emerged from behind a maple tree. According to the usual script, Ursula should have been some sort of mastermind behind the scenes. Unfortunately, this shut-in mixed-blood ancient god had no such ambition. She simply lived nearby, heard the sounds of battle, and came over to take a look.
Ursula's expression seemed natural, but she was actually panicking inside. Just now, she had witnessed Su Xiao's battle with the Ironfeather King. She suspected that if she had been the one to take the field, she would have needed only a few slashes or shots before finding a cool place to lie down. That way, she could at least die peacefully.
The Ironfeather King was publicly acknowledged as the strongest in this world, while the Serpent of the Abyss was second only to him. Yet now, Su Xiao was sitting beside the Ironfeather King's corpse with the Serpent of the Abyss still pinched between his fingers. Seeing this, Ursula's legs went weak. She wanted to go home.
