The Saintess lowered her arms because she knew Su Xiao would not approach her.

Su Xiao said nothing. He simply crouched down and met the Saintess's gaze.
"Please don't let me see hope, only to give me despair afterward. Please."
The Saintess knelt on the ground, clasping her hands together in prayer.

Su Xiao still said nothing. He was observing the changes in the Saintess's expression. The slightest sign of trouble, and he would draw his blade. Whether he could win was one matter; whether he dared to fight was another. There was no way back now. Without White Grease Wax, he could not move forward, and thus could not obtain the dominoes.
