The fourth round used an elimination points system. There were 167 contestants, so on average, each contestant would have to fight four matches. There would be elimination matches, revival matches, and so on. As long as they did not die, they would still have a chance.
After the four rounds of gladiatorial combat ended, regardless of how many people remained, the top ten contestants by combat points would successfully advance to the fifth round.
This round tested pure strength. Contestants could not forfeit before taking the field. If they wanted to forfeit, they had to wait until at least five minutes after the battle began. Anyone who wanted to obtain resources through the Strongest Tournament had to risk their life.
Even the right to forfeit in the fourth round was a reward, an acknowledgment of the contestants who had fought their way there. It also meant that after reaching the fourth round, contestants might be able to withdraw unharmed.
Compared to the contestants on the sandy battlefield, some of the spectators in the stands were also nervous. After all, those fighting on the sands were members of their own races, friends, and perhaps even their relatives or lovers.
Of course, such spectators made up only a portion of the audience. Most of the rest looked relaxed. The representatives sent by their races had already died in the first three rounds, so the possibility of their relatives or friends coming to watch was low. Most of those who came were simply members of the same race there to spectate.
