"See you if fate allows."
The Nameless Saint tossed out the Overlord Medal in his hand. He had already judged the situation. If this continued, his teammates would eventually get him killed. He had seen plenty of useless teammates in Apocalypse Paradise, but one this disastrous was truly a first.
The Nameless Saint did not care what ability had affected Avni. In a life-or-death battle, he only cared about the result. He had cooperated with Avni and signed a contract with her, but during the battle, Avni had contributed nothing in terms of force, and her healing abilities had been completely suppressed. If that was the case, why should he continue cooperating with her?
More importantly, he was the one about to die in the current battle, not Avni, who was watching from above the canyon. Once he was defeated, that woman would hand over the Overlord Medal and run.
Avni's gaze swept around her surroundings. Just moments ago, an enemy had suddenly appeared behind her. Before the enemy revealed himself, she had not sensed his existence at all. That was the most terrifying part.
"Eee-ya-ya."
A small weed that had come to life ran to Avni's feet and hammered her ankle with its rice-grain-sized little fists.
With a puff, Avni crushed the plant creature beneath her foot. Her heart remained unmoved. She knew that this thing had been created by that "invisible" enemy to distract her.
Avni knew very clearly that the greatest threat at present no longer came from the enemy of Reincarnation Paradise, but from her teammate, the Nameless Saint.
The Nameless Saint had been thoroughly betrayed by Avni. On top of that, he had now abandoned the Overlord Medal. Only the heavens knew what he would do.
A dying camel was still bigger than a horse.
