Inside the tent before High Mountain City, King Miru and his younger brother, Spring Iron Ram, were both present.
A metal round table stood in the center. King Miru sat across from it, his chair covered with bear hide, while Spring Iron Ram stood diagonally behind him.
On King Miru's other side sat a thin female dwarf. She lacked the dwarves' usual sturdiness, appeared to be around thirty, and had several faint scars on her face.
Dozens of Royal Guards stood behind and on both sides of the three people. They stood like sculptures, barely even blinking.
The curtain covering the entrance to the enormous tent was lifted. Su Xiao, Bubu Wang, Baja, Caesar, and Guy entered, with Su Xiao at the front.
Su Xiao took his seat opposite King Miru. Bubu Wang crouched beside his leg, while Baja landed on the back of the chair behind him.
"Welcome to High Mountain City, the heart of the Miru Kingdom."
King Miru spoke from across the table. Seeing that Su Xiao had brought no guards, he raised a hand, and dozens of Royal Guards withdrew from the tent.
What was about to take place was a peace negotiation concerning the defensive arrangements between the two countries and the duration of the ceasefire. A permanent ceasefire was too unrealistic; mentioning one in such negotiations would only demonstrate a lack of sincerity.
A pale-gold Parchment lay at the center of the table. It would serve as the medium for signing the ceasefire treaty. For now, it was merely precious, but soon, it would be endowed with extraordinary significance.
If the ceasefire agreement was signed, the metal table, chairs, and everything else would all become historical-grade items years later. They could not be sold and could only be collected by Flame or the Miru
