Seeing the ability of this great lord, Su Xiao narrowed his eyes. The situation was better than he had imagined. Although he had yet to reach Chimney Mountain, there was still plenty of room to act.
Being able to summon gray orcs, snakefolk, ancient treefolk, and oni within five kilometers meant that Su Xiao's plan could be carried out.
Within the Chaos Legion, the gray orcs were the absolute backbone. They had the largest population, could fight and endure, charge and break through fortified positions, and even serve as cannon fodder. As long as they were fed, they would risk their lives. Aside from being ugly and lacking personal hygiene, they had few shortcomings.
The snakefolk were equally important. They rarely went to the battlefield. They did not have human upper bodies and snake lower bodies. Rather, their heads resembled those of serpentine creatures, their mouths could split open to the base of their ears, and their forked tongues were extremely similar to those of snakes.
The snakefolk had no scales anywhere on their bodies. Within the Chaos Legion, they were the ones who got pushed around. They did the hard labor, forged the weapons and armor, received the smallest share of the benefits, and took the worst beatings. They were often bullied, but they had their own territory, and the Chaos Legion protected their personal property.
The snakefolk had not risen in revolt because, before the Chaos Legion was established, they had been slaves. No matter what talents they possessed, they were born slaves and were sold to every corner of the continent.
Aside from the gray orcs and snakefolk, the ancient treefolk and oni made up the elite forces. The problem was that these two races often found each other unpleasant. Each thought the other was an idiot.
