An unnamed town on the edge of "Bal's Great Forest," in the Saint Lan Kingdom.
It was called an unnamed town because it had only been established a few years ago. Given the constant beast disasters in this region, no one could say how long the town would survive. Perhaps the beast clans would destroy it tomorrow.
Though the town had only a few hundred inhabitants, the wooden walls around it had been built exceptionally sturdy. Their survival depended on them, so naturally they dared not be careless.
From the mottled marks on the wooden walls, the town's defenses were clearly still tenacious. Yet for some reason, the few guards standing watch behind the walls today all seemed somewhat anxious and worried.
Dark clouds in the night sky blocked the moonlight. Just then, a fierce gale swept past, making the guards on the wall instinctively raise their hands to shield their faces.
When everything settled, the clouds no longer covered the moon. By its light, the guards saw a gigantic dragon-like beast land on the wooden wall. Its vertical pupils looked down at them. It was so close that they could even feel its scorching breath on their faces, making their pores ache faintly.
Before the guards could issue a loud warning, they had already fallen asleep amid a wave of light-element energy.
The one who had come was Stormflame Dragon Dis. The four people on its back were Su Xiao, the High Priest, Caesar, and the Demonkin Prophet.
