Under the torrential rain, white vapor rose from the gas streetlamps lining the road. A bolt of lightning tore across the sky. Though it was clearly daytime, the heavens were dark and oppressive, making people uneasy.
Wearing a feather garment, Su Xiao walked through the downpour. After entering the Hunt state granted by the Old Hunter title, he could see faint traces of blood in the air, stretching into the distance. Faint footprints also appeared on the ground—one pitch-black and one gleaming white—leading far away.
Through these tracking clues, Su Xiao could determine the general whereabouts of the Dark Twins. He was currently in the southern part of this vast continent, in Ancient King City, formerly Marshlight City. South of it lay the Great Swamp Wetlands, while southeast was a small fishing village. North led toward the continent's central region, where Moon Ring City was located.
As for why the small fishing village southeast of Ancient King City could serve as a landmark, it was because it had produced an astonishing number of ruthless figures: the First Sky City Lord, the Third Moon Warlock, the King of the Swamp, Karraya, one of the three leaders of the Dark God Cult, Black Hole Azler, and the strongest Defiler, the Dark Prophet. All these powerful figures had come from that small fishing village.
The small fishing village had indeed produced many extraordinary figures, but every one of those ruthless people had inflicted enormous damage on this world. The First Sky City Lord was the most terrifying of them all, while the Third Moon Warlock was somewhat less so.
The Dark Twins were to the north. They were unlikely to be near Moon Ring City, so heading to the Silent City first was definitely the right choice.
