If one looked out across the Astral Realm toward Blazing Sun Star, one would find a black belt encircling the enormous planet and dividing it into two halves. This black belt, which wrapped around Blazing Sun Star, was called the "Lightless Belt."

Looking at a map of Blazing Sun Star, one would find that the "Lightless Belt" split the vast continent in half. The region south of the "Lightless Belt" was called the Southern Continent. Twilight City was located there, as were the Soul Academy's academy tower and the Pantheon Religion's headquarters, Sacred Heart City.

The "Land of Divine Exile," where deformed gods and Bloodthirsters ran rampant, was also located in the Southern Continent.

As for the area north of the "Lightless Belt," it was called the Northern Continent. The Dark God Cult's headquarters, the "Underground City," the ancient tower farther north, the exiles' frozen hell, "Dead City," "Dark Moon Nightmare," and the other regions were all located in the Northern Continent.

Traveling from the Southern Continent to the Northern Continent was extremely difficult unless one used a major faction's teleportation array. The medium and small factions did possess teleportation technology, but the several core materials required by teleportation arrays were controlled by Twilight City, the Pantheon Religion, and the Soul Academy.

Traveling from the Northern Continent to the Southern Continent was much easier. The alliance led by the Dark God Cult on the Northern Continent did not control the materials required for teleportation arrays. It was not that they did not want to. There were simply too many monsters on the Northern Continent. Being able to defend the Underground City was already good enough for them. If they had a choice, who would willingly live underground? They had no other option.
