Seen from afar, the whole Eternal City resembled a tower of the gods. Though the surrounding buildings were not short, compared to the towering divine tower at the city's center, they were like ants beneath a god's gaze.
This was a place where believers and bishops could never set foot. Only the Four Original Sins and the strongest Ancient God, the God of the Underworld, could enter. The God of the Underworld had slumbered here for years, while the Four Original Sins were more like guards beneath the god.
In the eastern district, poisonous mist spread through the industrial zone. This was a huge factory that processed life ore, managed by the bishop of the eastern district.
The blue-skinned factory slaves marched in line like living corpses beneath the overseers' long whips. The overseers, wearing biological-style gas masks, had particularly vicious gazes. If they failed to complete the tasks assigned from above, they would suffer as well. Sometimes, they even envied these slaves who needed to think of nothing and had long since grown numb to death, losing all fear of it.
