"I fed her a little blood! Hurry up and catch the ghost!" I shouted as though it were only natural, then ran toward him. He Dou glanced at the black stick beside the bed, then at me running toward him, snatched up the stick, and immediately fled through the first-floor window of his house!
I stood there dumbfounded, but this clearly wasn't the time for hesitation. The female ghost actually circled around me, and without thinking twice, I chased after He Dou and jumped out the window!
"Don't follow me, damn it! Why the hell did you feed her blood? Are you trying to get us killed?" He Dou cursed loudly. Then, rolling and crawling as he fled, he shouted, "Liu Bin! This isn't working! Hurry down and help! That female ghost has escaped again to take revenge!"
My heart jolted. What did he mean, the female ghost was taking revenge? Had these fellows done something immoral and somehow brought a female ghost into existence?
But there was no time to think it over. I could only flee outside after He Dou. I didn't know what was wrong with Liu Bin. Even after hearing us call for help, he still hadn't come out. I looked toward the third floor and saw that the fellow was watching from the window without coming down. I immediately despised him for quite a while. Then He Dou shouted again, "Patrol team! Come out, all of you! Stop hiding, damn it! I'm going to get eaten by a ghost!"
After his voice fell, no one came out. He Dou's face turned green with anger. "Didn't I tell you not to come outside at night no matter what? Now look at this mess—you got yourself killed and dragged me into it too!"
