But I found that neither of those names was any good, so I could only continue using the name Heavenly Dao. After all, when I circulated the power of my Dao lineage, it flowed even more smoothly than before, which suited me perfectly.
However, just when I thought the fusion was complete, the remnants of the original Dao lineages gradually began merging into the new Heavenly Dao!
I was astonished and wondered whether this might cause some unforeseen change, so I sat in meditation and looked inward, waiting for the transformation to finish. There were more remnants of the Dao lineages than I had imagined. After all, six Dao lineages were ultimately different from everyone else's, and merging them into this black new Heavenly Dao would take time. Yet while I was examining my inner self, I discovered that one of the strange yet familiar Dao lineages had also slipped into the new Heavenly Dao like a fragment.
Startled, I hurriedly tried to recall what kind of Dao lineage it was. After thinking for a long while, I finally remembered the guiding talisman for that Divine Ability my maternal grandfather had left behind. At the time, I had thought that Dao lineage had vanished, but I never expected it to have remained in fragmentary form inside the other, more vigorous Dao lineages. Now, because the new Heavenly Dao had an even stronger devouring force, it had begun to be nibbled away and absorbed into the main Dao lineage.
At that thought, I grew excited. If the Divine Ability Dao merged into it, I would be much more flexible when using other Dao arts, because the Divine Ability Dao emphasized adaptability—transforming other divine abilities and making them one's own.
Before I knew it, I had spent an entire day and night
