After summoning the Substitute Ghost Gu, I opened my Heavenly Eye and lodged a wisp of divine soul inside the substitute. Then I used the substitute to receive that black aura. After all, the black aura transmitted knowledge, and with my divine sense and Heavenly Eye inhabiting the Substitute Ghost Gu, I could receive the information it brought just the same. It merely added another bridge. Conversely, if the other party tampered with the black aura, I could have the Substitute Ghost Gu suffer the calamity in my stead.
