It was said that this divine beast could split the heavens and earth. By slipping most of its body into a spatial rift and filling the rift with itself, it could both conceal itself and prevent immortals from tracing its whereabouts. Thus, it might be above the heavens—or it might be suspended in midair. We had no choice but to search for it through detection.
The map had originated a hundred years ago. However, it was said that whenever the Sky-Splitting 𫚉 found a good place, it would tear open space and sleep. Sleeping for a century or more was perfectly normal for it, so the map was still sufficiently reliable. Besides, there were many immortals on that immortal island, and whenever they traveled around the seas and passed through this area, they would search for the Sky-Splitting 𫚉 as well. Every so often, they recorded another trace of its movements, so its accuracy was beyond question.
With Jiang Ruoyin's flower-basket divination to help us search for the Sky-Splitting 𫚉, we soon arrived at a place that looked no different from the vast stretches of white clouds scattered across the sky. The only difference was that the clouds here were exceptionally dense, with barely any gaps between them. It looked as if something had gathered them into a mass.
"It seems this entire area is probably it. I hear the Sky-Splitting 𫚉 is skilled at concealment. This strange cloud region may very well be where it dwells." Jiang Ruoyin pointed at a patch of white clouds in the sky.
