The firebird let out a mournful cry. I stared at it with ice-cold eyes and said, "Your master treated you like livestock, and now I've killed him. Do you want to follow in his footsteps? Why not become a guardian divine beast of Heaven's Unity? I'll provide you with resources and give you your freedom! What do you say?"
The firebird feared my terrifying power, but it did not obey me completely. Suddenly, it spoke in a human voice. "I am a Golden Crow under Emperor Ying. How could I submit to a human immortal?"
"You're merely a creature of heaven and earth. Can you submit to this world?" I stared coldly at it. It was furious, so I continued, "Heaven's Unity won't force anyone to submit. We're bringing together all living beings with the will to safeguard peace throughout heaven and earth! We'll protect this world from further chaos and slaughter! Otherwise, why do you think Emperor Ying could survive? And you, you feathered beast—if you refuse to follow me, I won't force you. But if you join Emperor Ying and commit evil, I'll kill you in minutes and use you as liquor fodder!"
The Golden Crow firebird was an intelligent creature. It immediately burst out laughing and said, "The strong are respected. What do you mean, you won't force me? You're merely spouting nonsense backed by your power!"
"You stupid bird, since you believe the strong are respected, and I'm stronger than Extreme Day and even more powerful than Emperor Ying, wouldn't it be foolish not to follow me?" I cursed.
The Golden Crow firebird was slapped in the face by my words and froze for a moment, but it still dragged the conversation back to the same point. "You're a human immortal!"
