As a result, my noise quickly made the Turtle turn its head and search all around for the source of the sound. I hurriedly shut my mouth. Although I had recovered some of my magic, it was clearly still far too presumptuous to think I could defeat these colossal beasts.
But the Turtle was no ordinary dull creature. Since it could move forward, it naturally possessed an astonishing ability. The instant it sensed my presence, its head shot out of its shell like a long serpent and slammed straight into the shell-backed spot where I had been standing!
Boom!
After the thunderous impact, the shell did not bear the slightest mark. Its stiff, ferocious head, covered in sawteeth, merely swayed once before preparing to wreak havoc again. I had already nimbly slipped off the shell, but escaping its locked-on pursuit was still extremely difficult!
Boom! It charged again. The giant turtle's head plunged deep into the ground, and because there were simply too many creatures here, several were smashed to death on the spot. Blobs of blood, reduced to a paste, made my expression change. But faced with such a tragedy, all I could do was offer my deepest sympathy.
However, the Turtle was not the most powerful creature here. The disturbance it caused interrupted the beings who had already reached the region ahead to seek the Dao, so before long, a group of even more formidable creatures turned around and began attacking the giant turtle!
The giant turtle was immediately overwhelmed by numbers. Before long, it had been beaten until its head was broken and bloodied, and it lay on the verge of death!
Faced with the bloodshed caused by a single sentence, I was shaken with lingering fear, but I did not feel particularly uneasy. After all, this
