However, my opponent easily blocked my attacks and engaged me in an evenly matched exchange. Their swordsmanship was swift and keen, and so were my attacks. But with my eyes closed, I had once again fallen into my old pattern. I could not attack decisively, only defend more and attack less, because I had to sense the angle and direction of my opponent's attacks before I could find a way to break through them!
Sword-Seeking Lord's swordsmanship could never have been this clumsy, but his swordsmanship must have gone through the exact same predicament as mine had now. The only difference was that I had accelerated the experience, placing myself in extreme danger—and my opponent happened to be exceptionally powerful as well!
Of course, I would not stop moving forward. I had to break through this predicament, so abandoning the notion of clinging to old ways was the key to this breakthrough!
To increase my attack speed, I had to give up part of my perception. Fully gathering the angles of the enemy's attacks was too slow. I had to make the enemy move according to my will. Half the solution lay in forcing and holding them into counterattacking, while the other half lay in guessing!
If I guessed correctly, I could be faster than my opponent. If I guessed wrong, the result would be injury!
But I had no choice. If I could not solve this predicament, the only path left was elimination.
My attack speed once again rose to its limit. Just as when I had dealt with the previous opponent, my attacks became something I was too lazy to even think about. I even dispensed with guessing the enemy's sword routes. It was like a blind man wielding a sword—the direction of attack had only one target:
