"Lingzhao, Little Tian, why don't you come to my Thunder Immortal Palace for a little gathering?" Ling'an invited him with a beaming smile. This brother-in-law of mine sure is familiar. He actually called me Little Tian, without knowing that my estimated real age would be enough for me to be his grandpa.
Lingzhao nodded and muttered to me, "Big Brother lives in the Thunder Immortal Palace. It's where the successive young sect masters have lived. Although it can't compare to Father's cave abode, it's still much larger than my place."
"Then he must have plenty of opponents, right?" I said with a smile. Lingzhao was stunned and hesitated. "Brother Tian, I'm sorry. If I'd known, I shouldn't have—"
I drifted after my brother-in-law alongside her and said, "Since we've come, we might as well make ourselves at home. You think I can't handle these little fellows?"
Seeing the arrogance on my face, Lingzhao finally let out a sigh of relief. We followed my brother-in-law toward another mountain peak. And indeed, compared to Thunder Immortal Peak, the mountain where Lingzhao lived was much shabbier. Though the former was taller and more imposing, the Thunder Immortal Palace occupied a better location and was far grander.
Moyu stayed beside Ling'an. The two of them were whispering and discussing something, so they had probably already begun plotting how to deal with me. I didn't care in the slightest. For me, a scene like this was child's play.
Before long, we took our seats in the Thunder Immortal Palace one after another. Ling'an summoned disciples to bring out fruits, wine, and other refreshments, then led everyone in drinking. Including the two of us, there were only eight immortals present. Moyu sat opposite Lingzhao and me. I occupied the second seat, with Lingzhao beside me.
