I immediately chased after it. I had intended to grab the creature's reins, but then I thought better of it. This little fellow was smarter than anyone; if it felt something was wrong, it would have run without hesitation. How could it possibly charge forward like a mad dog?
So, at the last moment, I cast Deconstruction on the reins, letting Little Swallow burst into the sky like a dragon breaking free of its bridle!
Watching it dive toward the dragonfly, moving so fast it was ridiculous, I finally breathed a sigh of relief. Little Swallow had grown incredibly quickly. It had nearly eaten every herb in the entire medicinal field. If it hadn't grown stronger, I would have thrown it into a pot and cooked it long ago.
The dragonfly immediately pecked at Little Swallow, but Little Swallow was unbelievably nimble. With a slap, it clung directly to the dragonfly's enormous rear. In the next moment, the dragonfly let out a miserable shriek, its rump twisting like a spinning top!
Little Swallow could absorb anything it touched. With such a bizarre constitution, the instant it latched onto the dragonfly, the dragonfly's newly grown wings immediately withered!
Bang!
A crisp crack rang out as Little Swallow bit through the dragonfly's unbelievably hard shell in one bite. Golden fluid sprayed out, carrying many chunks of shattered internal organs. I took one look and suddenly understood. "So my Deconstruction wasn't ineffective. It shattered everything inside, but didn't open a hole for it to flow out."
Little Swallow's face was splattered with golden juice, but it grew even more ecstatic. Amid the repeated clangs of metal striking metal, it frantically tried to widen the crack!
But how could the dragonfly let it have its way? Seeing Little Swallow actually dare to bite into
