A large structure soon rose from the smooth seabed, and even the landing platforms where warships had once docked could be faintly seen around it.
It was as if everything had returned to the state it had been in tens of thousands of years ago. All kinds of basic structures rose from the smooth ground one after another.
I left the cabin and, after sensing the surroundings, focused my gaze on the tallest building.
"The entrance is over there. Beneath it is a gigantic underground city." After saying that, I drifted toward the entrance at the top.
After I issued another sensing command, the entrance gates slowly opened.
I flew through the interior of the gigantic passageway. Before long, an immense city, so enormous it was difficult to imagine, came into view below.
At the city's edge stood transparent walls resembling gigantic fortresses. They made the entire city seem to lie safely beneath the sea. This design was probably meant to withstand immense impacts.
"This city seems to be underwater? Why isn't it underground?" Jade Supreme asked in astonishment.
"It should be inside the warship's spatial hold. I hear large star-domain warships are all designed this way." Mirror Ci clearly had broader knowledge.
After landing in the empty center of the city, I looked at the lifeless streets and the land that had long been devoid of human presence, and I could not help sighing. "It seems that intelligent life ultimately cannot escape extinction."
"This place must have been too closed off. If it had been outside, this definitely wouldn't have happened."
