"Hehe, so you're a Star Controller from Starshine Sea. But I imagine Star Ancestor must have been very considerate toward you. After all, with talent like yours, you're certainly worth him making a comeback for." After hearing me, Light Ancestor immediately changed her attitude.
I could see the contempt for Starshine Sea growing in her eyes.
"Starshine Sea currently has only one Great Luotian guarding it, and Star Ancestor nearly perished in the last World-Ending War. He probably hasn't fully recovered even after all these hundred years, has he?"
"That's right. Isn't that why everyone says that being born in Starshine Sea basically means saying farewell to the position of Luotian? Even if you have that kind of aptitude, you simply don't have the fate to advance!"
"Boy, you'd better either be Star Ancestor's incarnation or relocate to another star and sea as soon as possible. Otherwise, Starshine Sea won't be able to protect you."
"Starshine Sea was still passable before the previous World-Ending Wars. After all, it was one of the main battlefields of those wars, and even Great True Spirits and Great Luotians have records of perishing there."
"But it declined long ago. By now, it has withered to the point that it doesn't even have the lowest-level imperial clans. It's practically the most barren place of exile."
Several Star Controllers inhabited by mighty figures discussed in low voices, as though memories of the time before the previous World-Ending War had been stirred up.
As they talked, three men and two women rapidly descended from the sky, finally stopping at the same level as me. These Star Controllers had gone after Skyline earlier, but it seemed they had failed to catch it and returned.
Even so, Light Ancestor and the incarnations of several Ancestors present all changed expression.
