Hizashi Hyuga finished resting, stood up, and relieved his elder brother, Hyuga Hiashi.
These past three days.
The two brothers had followed them all the way from Konoha to Kumogakure.
They watched the Konoha ANBU carrying the message enter the enemy village.
Not long afterward, that Konoha ANBU emerged from Kumogakure.
Seeing how flustered he was, something major must have happened.
Perhaps...
The Raikage had heard that members of his delegation had been killed and flown into a rage.
So Kumogakure wanted to attack Konoha?
In any case, following Hyuga Sho's instructions, the two brothers struck from a distance... knocking out the flustered ANBU who was trying to flee.
They tied him up.
The fourth day, the fifth day, the sixth day passed.
The two brothers took turns resting and waiting.
As for that ANBU... because of the Gentle Fist, he was knocked unconscious over and over again.
The message never made it back to Konoha from Kumogakure.
The seventh day...
Kumogakure made no move.
The eighth day...
They seemed to have detected that something was wrong and sent out their own envoy, carrying a secret order, to set off for Konoha.
The tenth day.
The envoy should have reached Konoha by then, given how quickly he traveled, and sent word back remotely to let Konoha know.
But...
Naturally, the envoy could not send back any information.
He did not even reach Konoha, let alone send a message.
Hyuga Sho killed him halfway there.
The eleventh day.
Kumogakure sent out a second envoy.
The twelfth day, the third envoy died.
The thirteenth day, the fourth envoy died.
The fourteenth day.
The Fourth Raikage roared furiously as he led his men out.
A vast army headed toward Konoha.
