In the blink of an eye, Daoist Misty Lord had turned into a Stone man. Yet his body had not grown rigid. He looked up at the Tribulation Clouds, then shot into the sky.
"Boom!"
A tremendous peal of thunder rang out from the Vortex in the Tribulation Clouds. The next instant, a golden divine sword flew from the Vortex and struck Daoist Misty Lord.
"Clang!"
A deafening impact rang out. Daoist Misty Lord stopped the Golden Divine Sword, but cracks spread across the layer of stone covering him. His chest was a bloody mess where the sword had struck.
Daoist Misty Lord plummeted from the sky and slammed into the ground.
"Bang!"
A crater more than a hundred yards across appeared at once. The defensive Formation Runes on the ground rolled like ocean waves, and the entire Tribulation Ground shook violently.
After striking Daoist Misty Lord, the Golden Divine Sword rebounded off the power surrounding him. It spun several times in midair, then charged at him again.
Gravely wounded, Daoist Misty Lord could only muster all his strength to turn over and meet the incoming sword with his back.
The stone covering his chest had already shattered under the Golden Divine Sword's first strike, but the stone on his back remained intact.
The Golden Divine Sword was much weaker now than it had been the first time. Daoist Misty Lord was confident his back could withstand its second strike.
The moment Daoist Misty Lord finished turning over, the Golden Divine Sword struck his back.
As the golden blade touched the stone covering his back, the stone split open. Immediately afterward, the sword exploded.
"Rumble!"
The explosion became a dazzling mass of golden light, with countless golden arcs flashing within it. The light swallowed Daoist Misty Lord.
