Pre-reading notice:
This book will not feature any chaotic ship-breaking. Official couples with established romantic lines will absolutely not be cuckolded. If you are looking for harem novels, please look elsewhere.
My personal ability is limited, so my understanding of certain concepts in Honkai Impact 3rd and Honkai: Star Rail may not be entirely accurate. I humbly ask for your leniency.

"What kind of story is Honkai Impact 3rd? It is a grand story about girls and girls, a story about growth, companionship, and beauty. And most importantly, it is a healthy, sunny, and positive story."
---As It Is, the God of Knives in Ancient Greece
It was a dark and windy night. In a certain nameless university dormitory, a Hyperion cleaner capable of doing aerial splits had just finished the Sea of Quanta for the second time. He let out a roar identical to that of a certain Herrscher of the Box Lunch:
"Teacher Shaoji, I want to hold you while I sleep!"
The story must begin from the start.
Regarding the game's plot, Wang Luowei considered himself a person with a high threshold for tears. Therefore, when others recommended he play Honkai Impact 3rd, claiming the plot was super sweet, he knew they had ulterior motives upon seeing their malicious smiles, but he agreed without hesitation.
At first, it was just as he expected. While he was moved by plots like The Last Lesson, Skybreaking Meteor, and Eternal Flames, he didn't shed a single tear, even when facing the Chocolate Gate.
It wasn't until he reached the Sea of Quanta and saw Qianjie, dragging his broken body, say to Aponia, "Sakura was never a traitor," that his tear ducts, dormant for years, finally burst open after all the preceding foreshadowing.
Since he had no interest in the Mars Storyline, he used an alt account to replay the first part of the story. Before reaching the Sea of Quanta again, he originally thought that since he already knew what would happen, he wouldn't feel any ripples in his heart.
Facts proved he was wrong.
Knowing that the thirteen individuals died 41 times in total, reviewing the process of being "knifed" over and over again felt like resurrecting them only to kill them once more. Upon discovering more details he had missed the first time, he cried even louder.
Even knowing their endings and what happened to them, experiencing it again still brought him to tears. Replaying the Sea of Quanta, besides the Thirteen Flame-Chasers, the Herrscher of Corruption, as a villain one couldn't help but hate to the bone, naturally left a deep mark in his heart as well.
Because this was his first contact with the Honkai universe, Wang Luowei would often let his imagination run wild. For example, what would happen if the entity that became a Herrscher wasn't a human, but someone who already possessed other superpowers?
Or, since Old Yang could travel to the world of Honkai: Star Rail, what would happen if a Pathwalker or even an Emanator from Honkai: Star Rail came to the world of Honkai Impact 3rd?
"It's almost 9:30. The Abyss settles tonight. Let's see if I can get another cup... Huh? What the hell? Why did the score change to...?" Wang Luowei, who habitually clicked the 'X' on pop-up windows, reopened the announcement.
"[Superstring Space] Anomaly Issue and Compensation Explanation"
"Go to hell, you Wubbaboo! Do you know how long I spent fishing for that score? I really want to kill the brilliant, wise, and cute developers!"
Sigh, the Abyss is just like that. Players only need to learn to time their ultimates and fish for scores, while the developers have much more to consider.
One can only say the plot is a good plot, but as for the game itself... well, that's a matter of opinion.
As the liver-aching background music played, Wang Luowei clicked on the Superstring Space again.
"Sigh, thank goodness it's a Physical Type stage. My Physical Team is fully geared. The advantage is mine. Let's grind."
After grinding, Wang Luowei found himself in 7th place, just one point lower than 6th.
A Honkai Impact 3rd player who doesn't fish for a score when they are only one point away isn't a real player. Wang Luowei decisively started the next round.

[Let's Play Hide and Seek]
"SP is at 175. Next, unleash the ultimate of Death-Life-Hope. Stay steady. One more rotation and it's done!"
[Bloom, Flora]

Already on a roll, he decisively continued, but the score was even lower than before. After several attempts, he finally managed to raise his score by 3 points.
"That's it! Hard work eventually pays off. You have to play games with a smile... Wait, why didn't my score change?" Noticing something was wrong, Wang Luowei glanced at the time.
"22:01"
(Desk HP -1)
"Damn it, I can't take it anymore! I'm going to punch the dog developers!" Anger surged in Wang Luowei's heart, and he punched his phone. The next moment, the phone emitted a blinding light, and Wang Luowei vanished from the spot.
"Damn it... I haven't deleted the several gigabytes of 'study materials' on my computer yet..." Wang Luowei shouted before his consciousness faded.
It is unknown how much time had passed. Wang Luowei regained his memory and consciousness, only to find the surrounding scenery had turned into an endless snowfield.
"Sigh, transmigrations happen every year, and now it's my turn. In this day and age, do we not even need a big truck to transmigrate?" Looking at the unfamiliar world, Wang Luowei, who had read plenty of transmigration novels, didn't panic.
Looking down, he found himself floating in the air, with neither hands nor feet.
"What on earth have I turned into?" He maneuvered this body to the edge of a low-lying pond, looked down into the water, and froze in place.
His true form was a large, red eyeball. Having just finished the Sea of Quanta, he was all too familiar with this appearance.
"Oh no, I've become the Herrscher of Corruption?"
"No, being a Herrscher is one thing, but why did it have to be Corruption!" Wang Luowei was on the verge of tears. He knew that in the world of Honkai Impact 3rd, an ordinary person who knew nothing could survive until the end as long as they were lucky enough to avoid key locations like Changkong City and Tianqiong City. Becoming a Herrscher, however, meant risk.
Forget it, forget it. Since I'm here, I might as well make the best of it. Look on the bright side: I've become the Herrscher of Corruption, so the Sea of Quanta can be saved until after the Great Honkai. The Thirteen Flame-Chasers will be able to see the world after the Honkai is defeated. After a bout of beating his chest and stamping his feet, he accepted this unchangeable fact and looked around, where quite a few Zombies and Honkai Beasts had gathered.
"The Herrscher possesses the ability to command and summon Honkai Beasts; these must have been generated because of my birth, but why are they only Chariot-class at the highest? No, this isn't the time to think about that. Although I am the Herrscher of Corruption, I didn't manifest during the conversation between Raiden Mei and the Will of Honkai, which means the timeline might have shifted. If Otto is still alive... I certainly don't want to be captured by him for experiments. I need to find a way..."
Wang Luowei struggled to recall the information in his mind regarding the Herrscher of Corruption.
"The Herrscher of Corruption, as an ultimate virus capable of infecting all living organisms and electronic devices—meaning it can be inhaled by humans or absorbed by Luo Tianyi. Since it can tamper with the information of any device or organism, then theoretically, I can also modify my own information."
Action followed thought; Wang Luowei immediately adjusted her own data.
"The most important part... related to Honkai Energy... with the authority of the Herrscher of Corruption, deceiving Schicksal's instruments shouldn't be a problem... OK, done."
Wang Luowei finished the modifications quickly. Now, all of his stats had dropped below the level of a Herrscher; no matter what machine measured him, the result would only show an individual with extremely high Honkai Energy resistance.
Of course, doing this was equivalent to placing a seal upon himself. In this state, he could not overuse Honkai Energy. However, Wang Luowei wasn't foolish enough to trap himself; since he had applied the seal, he could naturally undo it. He saved his current stats as a backup, ready to use One-Click Restore when necessary, and could simply change them back whenever he needed to hide again.
