Returning to Earth

As mentioned before, whenever Chen Changsheng was not suffering, Dormammu would be the one suffering instead.

Dormammu now found himself in a dilemma. He could easily kill Chen Changsheng, but doing so would be meaningless.

Under the time loop, there was no true death. Even killing Chen Changsheng would only make him stronger. If Chen Changsheng continued adding 1+1+1+1+... all the way to infinity, Dormammu could not accept the outcome.

But if he continued allowing Chen Changsheng to absorb the power of his Dark Dimension without restraint, that would be even more unacceptable.

That was simply how things stood. No matter what Dormammu did, it seemed there was no benefit for him.

Even though he already knew the outcome, Dormammu was still unwilling to give in. As a powerful being who possessed the supreme strength of an entire dimension, he could not accept being forced into such a dilemma by a mere insect.

And so he continued killing him. Dormammu seemed to want to make the insect's consciousness collapse through countless acts of slaughter.

Unfortunately, his plan was doomed to fail. Perhaps Chen Changsheng had not lived as long as Dormammu, but for an immortal creature that had absorbed the memories of countless lives, death was nothing to fear.
