Chapter Summaries

Hao created Taihao and struggled to preserve it as wars and his own extracted malice repeatedly threatened its existence. After sacrificing himself to seal the World-Destroying Malice and rebuild the world, Hao vanished, and a new era began with the rise of Tai Cang.

• Hao created the heavens, earth, and myriad life with the Creation Tree, then named the world Taihao and formed Chi as his companion.
• Hao repeatedly punished his disciples for wars that damaged Taihao, but they later betrayed him, cut down the Creation Tree, and attacked him; Hao destroyed them and rebuilt the shattered world as the Thirty-Three Heavens.
• Hao extracted his growing evil intent, which became the Taihao Demonic Emperor and later returned as the World-Destroying Malice, provoking a catastrophe across Taihao.
• Chi awakened Hao when the Malice impersonated him and allowed the slaughter to spread; Hao fought it as Taihao collapsed, while Chi burned itself to aid him.
• Hao sealed the World-Destroying Malice in a void, sacrificed himself, and reshaped Taihao before vanishing at the land where he was born.
• After Taihao entered a new age, a young man named Tai Cang emerged from that same desolate land and became known as the greatest prodigy in the world's history.

After the World-Destroying Malice was slain, the Great Wasteland expanded into a universe while Xu Yan and his fellow disciples walked the Dao. Countless ages later, Xu Yan returned to Li Xuan at the mountain village where they had first met.

• Tian Zi led the experts in helping the Heavenly Dao devour the remnants of Taihao and Unchanging Land, while Yu Yao and Bewitching Witch’s quarrel ended with Bewitching Witch claiming she had her eye on Xie Lingfeng.
• Xu Yan proposed making the Great Wasteland the center of a universe of stars and worlds, and everyone sensed the name “Great Wasteland Universe” as if guided by the Dao Ancestor.
• Taicang defeated the Undying Divine Lord in a sparring match, and Hong Ze joined in by punching him in the face.
• The Great Wasteland absorbed Taihao and Unchanging Land, grew into a universe of star domains, and Xu Yan, Meng Chong, Su Lingxiu, Fang Hao, Jiang Buping, Zhao Taiping, and Red Cat ventured into the void.
• Countless ages later, Xu Yan returned to Li Xuan in the mountain village where they had first met and said he was beginning to understand his master’s pleasure in seclusion.
