In terms of performance, this book had suffered an almost cliff-like decline after the middle stages.

Especially toward the end, it had only three hundred ongoing subscribers on this site.

For a long time, author friends around me urged me that "a short pain is better than a long one," telling me to drop the book and start a new one as soon as possible.

But whenever I opened the backend and saw that several thousand readers were still following it through other channels, Sanjin gritted his teeth and kept burying himself in the work.

Before I knew it, this book had reached 6.57 million words.

While its performance was nothing remarkable, that word count was still a rare species even on Starting Point.

(In a sense, that makes me one of the big names too, right? Haha!)

This was my first time writing an end-of-book note, so let me evaluate myself first.

A pile of crap.

Before writing this book, Sanjin had only written two others in total.

The first was an imitation of Ming Jian's Urban Simulation Life, an attempt to ride the wave of the then-popular Instance Dungeon Genre. But the outcome was probably easy to guess—how could a newcomer possibly have the ability to handle such a complex structure?

Here, I absolutely had to thank Editor Lu Ming for pulling me out of the vast sea of people and launching my career as an author.

That book hurriedly reached six hundred thousand words, then collapsed midway after I had built up a little foundation.
