The coughing did not ease after a couple of light coughs.
Instead, as time passed, it grew even more violent.
By the end, Su Mo was even worried that the brother recording the voice message would cough up his own lungs.
Fortunately, after more than ten seconds, it seemed he had coughed something out. The coughing gradually faded, replaced by a low murmur.
"Uh, can you hear me? Hello? I'm Ma Gu. Mm, good, let's begin recording!"
"An Earthling? No! A Huaxia person?" Hearing the opening, Su Mo froze for a moment. A trace of shock appeared on his usually unflappable face.
Had he encountered a fellow countryman in this other world? A fellow Huaxia citizen, no less?
With these two questions in mind, before Su Mo could continue thinking, Ma Gu's halting voice came through the radio again: "The fact that you were able to activate the repair function on this vehicle means you must also be an Earthling or... a high-level civilization. Heh, I doubt a high-level civilization would even think much of the piece of junk I, Ma Gu, made!"
"I imagine you have a lot of questions right now, but I still have to introduce myself."
"Hello. My hometown is from a distant corner of the universe, on the third planet from the inside of the Solar System—Earth."
"My country is Huaxia! My name is Ma Gu!"
"I'm very glad to meet you in this way, and relieved that someone who came after me can inherit my legacy and continue moving forward!"
Ma Gu's voice was somewhat muffled, as though a glob of phlegm were stuck in his throat. Even through the recording, one could sense how poor his condition was.
"Hello, I'm Su Mo. I'm also an Earthling from Huaxia. It's nice to meet you."
