Landen wasn't originally named Landen, or rather, the soul now inhabiting this body named Landen wasn't the original one.

This fellow, whose true name was Zhao De and whose nickname was Zhao Degang, was originally savoring the supreme delicacy "Ten-Complete Dragon Broth" that he had personally made in a globally renowned game. He had only eaten half of it when he received a system notification stating that the energy absorbed exceeded his body's capacity, causing him to explode and die.

While cursing the inadequacy of this body, he habitually chose to revive. When he opened his eyes, he found he hadn't revived at his designated respawn point. Instead, he was on a small, shabby bed in a small, shabby bedroom beneath the lord's office. His name had also changed from Degang III to Philip Isis Landen.
