Katarina had finally left. After taking back everything that belonged to her from Landen, she headed under Hogg's "escort" to the border between the Yumaas Region and the Vol Family's territory. From there, Katarina would return to the Vol Family's domain.
Even now, Landen still did not believe that Katarina had come merely for a visit. He had already heard Avina's report, which further confirmed his suspicions. This seemingly innocent young lady had come here with absolutely ulterior motives.
Landen was not particularly worried, though. Across the entire territory, the things most important to him were the Heart of the City, the Experimental Field, and the two special units.
The Heart of the City had automatically hidden itself after he personally inserted it into the floor of the Lord's Office. Other than Landen, the lord himself, no one could detect its existence.
As for the Experimental Field, Avina had long since followed Landen's instructions and destroyed every trace of it after the harvest was complete. All of this had been done before Katarina arrived.
Incidentally, the Experimental Field had of course yielded a successful harvest in the end, and its output had greatly satisfied Landen. With that level of production, he would not even need to reclaim much farmland to feed everyone currently under his command. The Bear Hobgoblin farmers Hogg had trained were already enough to handle that amount, which finally freed Hogg completely.
As for the two units, since they were military forces, it was only a matter of time before they appeared before outsiders. The only difference was how much their strength would have improved by the time they made their debut.
