Women at least had some reservations, but children acted almost entirely on their own likes and dislikes. They didn't care about anyone else's reservations.
As the little princess of the Senju Clan, Tsunade did whatever she wanted. Her nerve was anything but ordinary. So what if this was the Uchiha Clan Grounds? Who would dare do anything to her?
Tsunade directly put on an air that said, "This princess isn't leaving. What are you going to do about it?"
"Eh!!!"
She waved her little fist at Hiko's retreating back, then was quickly stunned.
Hiko was actually cooking!!!!
Although strength reigned supreme in the Hokage World, very few men privately chose to cook like women did. Especially among the major clans, things like cooking and laundry were basically done by women. To put it bluntly, chauvinism was rather serious.
Men who could cook and were willing to cook were rare. Children who could cook were even rarer!!!
"Pfft~~~"
Seeing Hiko carrying a Rice Cooker bigger than his own head, the absurdly amusing sight made Tsunade burst out laughing.
What the hell are you laughing at?! Haven't you ever seen someone cook?!
Hiko glared at Tsunade. Humming, Tsunade wiped the smile off her face and glared back at him.
Hiko decided to ignore her and get on with his own business. Although he was exhausted and wanted nothing more than to collapse and sleep, he had to fill his stomach first. And while he was at it, he would send this little princess of the Senju Clan packing!
Though the sight looked strange because he was so small, what truly surprised Tsunade was that Hiko really could cook. He didn't seem to be putting on an act.
A delicious aroma soon drifted out of the kitchen. Tsunade had already been hungry, and her stomach let out another rumble. Her little face reddened as she thankfully realized Hiko was in the kitchen and hadn't heard it. Otherwise, it would have been far too embarrassing.
The sound from earlier had already embarrassed Tsunade enough.
"Come eat."
Hiko casually made something to eat, tossed the rest of the ingredients into the refrigerator, and called Tsunade over. Right now, he only wanted to finish eating quickly and send Tsunade away. As for the food, anything would do.
Tsunade looked at the two large plates Hiko was carrying and hesitated. Though she had secretly swallowed several times, her heart was still conflicted, two voices relentlessly battling in her mind.
One told Tsunade not to eat, while the other told her to hurry up and eat. Filling her stomach was what mattered most.
It was like an angel and a devil fighting inside someone's heart.
Hiko's real age was not five. Seeing that Tsunade clearly wanted to eat but was still hesitating, he knew what she was worried about. He shrugged, set Tsunade's portion on the table in the courtyard, and went into the wooden house.
"Eat!!!"
Hiko set down the food and left. Tsunade stared at the food on the table, but in the end, she couldn't bear the discomfort of hunger any longer. Gritting her teeth, she lifted the plate and began wolfing it down. Mmm~ So delicious!!!
"Pfft—cough, cough!!!"
Because Teacher had joked that Tsunade and Hiko were in love, Tsunade had felt uncomfortable all day, even though it was only a joke. As a result, she had barely eaten anything at noon. She had already been starving. If she hadn't come to demand an explanation from Hiko, Tsunade would have gone home for dinner long ago.
Now that she was starving and Hiko's cooking tasted good, she ate too hastily and immediately choked.
"Slow down. The food is hot..."
Looking at Tsunade, whose face and neck had turned red from choking, Hiko set a glass of cool water on the table and turned to leave.
"..."
Holding her spoon, Tsunade blankly watched Hiko return to the wooden house. Miraculously, her coughing stopped, though her throat still felt a little uncomfortable from choking.
A strange warm current suddenly passed through her heart. Even Tsunade herself didn't know why.
She slowly raised the glass and took a sip of water, then picked up her spoon and began eating in big mouthfuls. After that, she never choked again.
Her plate was soon empty. Tsunade silently set down her spoon, then stood and left.
"She finally left."
