As they watched the light flickering nonstop between Frieza's fingers, cold sweat streamed down the faces of the Namekian warriors, their hearts hanging in their throats.

"A bunch of stubborn fools!"

Frieza barked sharply, his finger twitching as the purple light was about to burst forth.

"Wait!"

At that moment, a young child's voice suddenly rang out, stopping Frieza's action.

Frieza stopped instinctively and looked toward the source of the voice, only to spot a young Namekian.

"Dende, why did you come out?!"

"This isn't child's play! Hide, now!!"

Aside from the dozen or so Namekian warriors present, this Childhood Stage Namekian was the sole survivor of this disaster.

"Was what you said earlier true?"

The Namekian named Dende ignored the others' shouts. Trembling, he slowly stepped toward Frieza and asked timidly.

"Hm?" Frieza frowned, seeming to have forgotten what he had just said.

"You said that as long as I conveyed your wish to the dragon, you would agree to spare us."

Dende was very innocent. He truly believed Frieza would keep his promise, which was why he had gathered the courage to step forward.

With Dende's reminder, Frieza finally recalled that there had been such a matter. He had not expected someone to actually believe his casual words.

At that thought, a sinister smile surfaced on Frieza's face again. He said to Dende, "Then what are you waiting for? Hurry and convey my wish to the dragon. Once it is done, your people will be freed."

Upon hearing this, an inexplicable burst of joy welled up in Dende. Without another word, he turned toward the dragon, truly intending to convey Frieza's wish.

Dende was engulfed by endless fear. All he could do now was obey Frieza, or who knew how many more of his people would die.
