But after hearing Vegeta's words, Gohan regained a little of his senses and paused in a daze.
The next moment, Vegeta darted to Gohan's side, leaned close to his ear, and whispered softly.
No one knew what Vegeta had said to Gohan, but after hearing it, Gohan's eyes widened. His little face first showed confusion and puzzlement, followed by utter shock.
The chaotic emotions quickly settled. Gohan looked at Vegeta, nodded heavily, then shot toward Frieza.
Watching Gohan's receding figure, a sly curve appeared at the corner of Vegeta's lips.
Frieza's assault continued. By now, the powerless Jiraiya was covered in injuries, bruised and battered beyond recognition.
Though his injuries were severe, Jiraiya still did not fall.
Because he had always believed that he was a ninja—a tenacious, unyielding ninja. No matter how fierce the storm, he could not
easily admit defeat, much less collapse.
Though Jiraiya usually acted frivolous and unserious, the highest qualities of a ninja had long been nurtured deep within his bones.
No matter how fierce or swift Frieza's attacks were, Jiraiya had no choice but to remain standing.
"I didn't expect you to be so tough. This King would like to see just how much longer you can hold on!"
Frieza said viciously, finally ceasing his attack.
Stopping his attack did not mean he intended to spare Jiraiya. Frieza gently raised an arm, and a dark purple sphere of light began gathering at his fingertip.
Frieza was charging up.
"Go to hell!"
Before long, the orb at Frieza's fingertip erupted with a laser beam that shot straight toward Jiraiya.
Whoosh!
"Stop, Frieza!"
At the same time, Gohan had arrived.
Whoosh!
But it was already too late. In an instant, that incomparably sharp dark purple ray had already blasted forth.
Frieza called that ray the *Death
