"Let me make this clear. Only by climbing to the top of this mountain with absolute determination can we survive. Otherwise, we have only one road left: death. You need to understand that."
Before they began, Uchiha Hiko still had a few things he wanted to say to them. He knew what kind of danger awaited them if they truly chose to scale these sheer cliffs, so he had to make it clear.
"You don't need to say any more. We understand all of this. As long as the three of us work hard together, that's enough. If something unexpected really happens, there's nothing we can do about it."
Uchiha Hiko had previously suspected that Little Woman wanted to kill the young doctor, but he had now dismissed that thought. If she truly wanted the young doctor dead, there would have been no need to wait until today.
So Uchiha Hiko felt much more at ease now. Still, he could not rule out the possibility that Little Woman harbored some dark intentions. It was better to be careful in all things.
The three of them began preparing to grab the vines and slowly climb upward. Though this was the slowest method, it was also the safest.
Uchiha Hiko wondered whether he could use his lightness skill to climb up in one go. If he had been alone, there would have been no problem with that method.
But they had already decided to move forward as a group of three, so he absolutely could not act alone. That would seem rather selfish.
