Hiko murmured silently to himself. With his eyes closed, he thought of nothing. He did not even care about the war between Konoha and Sunagakure, focusing all his attention on his eyes.

To Hiko, nothing mattered more than the evolution of his eyes right now. As long as his Eternal Mangekyo evolved, he would have the means to protect himself and contend against Uchiha Madara and Black Zetsu.

Causing trouble and stirring things up for them did not mean he could deal with Uchiha Madara himself. Nagato was manageable; with his weakness of limited lifespan, Hiko did not fear him even if he controlled the Rinnegan and possessed the Six Paths of Pain.

But there was one thing Hiko could not afford to ignore. He could overlook Nagato, but could he overlook Uchiha Madara, the madman of the Uchiha Clan?

Hiko knew perfectly well just how terrifying Uchiha Madara was. If his eyes had not evolved into the Rinnegan, he would have no way to contend with him.

Nagato with the Rinnegan and Uchiha Madara with the Rinnegan were entirely different concepts.

Their strength was not even remotely comparable.

Do not think that having the strength to ignore Nagato meant you could ignore Uchiha Madara. When Uchiha Madara was revived, he would beat the shit out of you 237!!!!

Uchiha Sasuke and Naruto were the best examples. Although Hiko's eye level was the same as Uchiha Sasuke's in the later stages, both possessing the Eternal Mangekyo, Hiko's strength was not something Uchiha Sasuke could compare to.
