Actually, Akatsuki had nothing much to prepare. Aside from Amegakure's ninja, they had little external support. Amegakure alone could not contend with the Five Great Shinobi Villages.

But if Akatsuki were added to the equation, that would be another question entirely.

They had casually assembled such a formidable force. Even Sunagakure was no exception. It was clear they had truly invested heavily in dealing with Akatsuki. Among the Five Great Shinobi Villages, aside from Konoha's transport unit, which was almost entirely composed of Genin, the thousand-man forces from the other four villages had Chunin as their weakest members. Most were elite Chunin and Special Jonin. Such a lineup could be considered battlefield elites.

It was obvious just how much Sunagakure, Iwagakure, Kumogakure, and Kirigakure had invested in this.

With the people from all four villages being so formidable, Konoha looked rather strange mixed in among them. In fact, they could hardly believe their eyes. Konoha had actually sent out such a group of old, weak, sick, and disabled people!!!!

Calling them old, weak, sick, and disabled was a bit exaggerated, but at a glance, they were all fucking Genin. Most of them were even the type who had gradually gotten older, lacked the strength to advance any further, and could no longer rise in rank. The lineup made people worry no matter how they looked at it.

Konoha's ninja felt incredibly awkward standing together with the ninja from the Four Great Shinobi Villages. The other side could casually pull out a few people stronger than anyone on Konoha's side.

This left Konoha's ninja feeling somewhat
