The Deva Path flew higher and higher, leaving the Allied Shinobi Forces below somewhat dumbfounded. What was going on? Could this guy have realized he couldn't win and simply given up? Still, shinobi who could fly seemed rather rare. They hadn't expected the Deva Path to be able to fly as well.

"I have a bad feeling about this. We'd better retreat quickly!!!"

Hatake Sakumo watched the Deva Path soar ever higher into the sky. The increasingly terrifying Chakra presence within him made Sakumo feel deeply uneasy.

"We need to have the Allied Shinobi Forces retreat immediately!!!" The Third Mizukage looked up at the Deva Path, his expression grim. "I think he's definitely preparing something big. We have to evacuate!!!"

There were thousands of Allied Shinobi Forces inside Amegakure. If the Deva Path truly pulled off something major, those people would be in danger. Even they themselves would be caught up in it.

"It's too late. Retreat."

Hiko's previous words to him surfaced in his mind. If anything seemed off about the Six Paths of Pain, forget everything else and run at once!! There could be no hesitation.

And Hiko had added afterward, "I don't want to become the teacher who has to collect his own disciple's corpse."

That was somewhat exaggerated. The Deva Path could not trap Minato Namikaze. With the Flying Thunder God Technique at his disposal, he could leave whenever he wished.
