Uchiha Hiko acted the moment he said he would. Momousagi had already become wary, but what she had not expected was that Uchiha Hiko's strength far exceeded her imagination. Not only was he incredibly fast, but even his power was enough to knock her aside.
"!?" A surprised expression appeared on Momousagi's face, but her hands did not hesitate. As Hiko's deflection forced her back, she was still in midair when she suddenly spun, thrusting out one hand as light flooded from her fingertips. "Finger Gun: Crimson Jade Peck!"
"Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!"
Crimson light shot from Momousagi's fingertips. The beams let out piercing whistles in midair before suddenly scattering, forming countless interwoven rays that spread into a net and came crashing down over Hiko's head.
"Heh." Hiko chuckled softly. He flipped his empty hand, and an Explosive Tag appeared in it. Then Chakra surged around him, releasing a terrifying vortex. With a flick of his arm, the Explosive Tag—something he rarely used—shot forward like a transparent swirling wave and collided head-on with the net-like Finger Gun.
Boom!
As the two forces clashed, Momousagi's Finger Gun was blown apart. The Explosive Tag erupted into a sky-filling wall of crimson flames, its momentum undiminished as it engulfed Momousagi.
"Ah?" Momousagi and Chaton finally began to take Uchiha Hiko seriously. Though Momousagi had not used her full strength in either of the last two moves, power comparable to an Admiral's was not something an ordinary person could withstand. Yet Uchiha Hiko had not only blocked them, but counterattacked forcefully.
Surprise aside, golden light flashed from Momousagi's hand as she unleashed a terrifying slash through the air, creating a powerful wave of pressure. Her famed blade shot forth and cleaved the wall of flames in two, the immense pressure directly blowing out the fire.
