The three Navy warships slowly left the undersea world. The island in the deep sea seemed so tranquil and peaceful in that dark, silent world.
"What a shame!" Momousagi sighed as she watched the island fade farther and farther from view. A white figure kept flashing before her eyes, impossible to banish.
"It is rather unfortunate." Hina, standing beside Momousagi, knew whom she meant. Their mission had been to recruit that person, yet not only had the two sides come to blows, but Chaton, one of the Navy's prominent figures, had been severely injured and was still fuming in the infirmary. Failing to bring such a powerful person into the Navy was an immeasurable loss for them.
Thinking of this, Hina could not help resenting Vergo even more. If that undercover agent had not deliberately stirred things up and caused the Navy to form a negative impression of Uchiha Hiko, Hina would not have been so prejudiced against him from the start. If they had tried to build a good relationship with him from the beginning, perhaps the Navy might have stood a chance.
