Uchiha Hiko's eyes changed only slightly, but at such close range, Jinbe saw it clearly. To make the usually indifferent Uchiha Hiko react like this, Jinbe felt that it had been worth it.
Fishman Island needed a powerful backer, and in Jinbe's heart, Uchiha Hiko was the best candidate. If sacrificing himself could earn Uchiha Hiko's wholehearted return, then Jinbe felt that stepping in front of the gun for him had been more than worthwhile.
Besides, an ordinary gun like this might be able to injure him, but taking Jinbe's life would not be so easy.
A faint smile rose on Hiko's lips. He reached out, placed a hand on Jinbe's body, and gave a light tug. A tremendous force yanked Jinbe back, and Jinbe could not resist at all, directly being pulled away by Hiko.
"Who told you that I needed you to block guns of this level for me?" Hiko asked with an indifferent smile. Then his right hand blurred in rapid motion, and after he moved, every bullet in the incoming volley vanished.
Jinbe stared in shock at the handful of bullets clutched in Hiko's hand. Had he caught every single one? Jinbe had seen many powerful people, but he had never seen anyone strong enough to catch bullets with their bare hands.
"What happened?!" the line of shooters cried out in shock. "Are the guns fake? Why didn't they work?"
"Wait! It looks like that person caught them!"
Those words stunned everyone. A group of people in protective suits held their guns on Uchiha Hiko, whose face bore a wicked, eerie smile, unsure whether they should fire again.
As the group hesitated, Hiko stepped forward. His figure suddenly flashed ahead, and he poured power into the handful of bullets he had caught before flicking his hand.
