He Only Wanted to Drop Out of Advanced Nurturing High School

Welcome to Classroom of the Elite + Dropping Out
While everyone else came to school, Bai Lan came to drop out.
Bai Lan had just returned from wilderness survival in the Amazon rainforest when he received an invitation to take the entrance exam for Advanced Nurturing High School.
At his parents' urging, he reluctantly took part. As for the written and oral exams, he treated them like a game. He had thought he was safe and definitely wouldn't get in. Yet somehow, he was still accepted.
He had planned to drop out immediately. But then the system awakened, presenting him with an ultimate mission right from the start: as long as he didn't drop out voluntarily or because of poor academic results, he could obtain Invincible Luck and Extraordinary Physique.
The rewards were incredibly tempting, and Bai Lan wanted to give it a try.
He figured that even with two ways of dropping out blocked, he could still find a way.
Later, he discovered that this school actually had something called a "dropout exam."
He was set!
But then...
He confronted a hidden final boss, only for the other party to take him as his master;
He beat up the Student Council President, yet received the other party's thanks;
He picked on a delinquent girl, who said she wanted to date him;
He tried to blackmail the grade's idol with her embarrassing past, provoking public outrage, only for her to say that he had helped her resolve the knot in her heart;
He blew up the dropout exam, yet a whole group of people desperately protected him.
Why was dropping out so difficult?!

1. He Wasn't Here to Attend School. He Was Here to Drop Out!
A bus was moving down the road.
Bai Lan sat in his seat, looking at the suit-style school uniform he was wearing, then at the campus built on an artificial island ahead. He couldn't help sighing.
Although he hadn't wanted to come, he had still come.
Fortunately, he wouldn't need to stay here for long.
He would soon be expelled for violating the school's rules and regulations.
That was right. Bai Lan hadn't come here to attend school. He had come to drop out!
Because of their work, Bai Lan's parents often moved all over the world.
His family also had no relatives or friends who could take care of him long-term. His parents were worried, so Bai Lan had to move around with them as well.
Not long ago, the family had moved to Japan.
Bai Lan had also enrolled as an international student at a private middle school somewhere in Japan.
In reality, he had merely registered under the school's name. He hardly attended classes at all.
After all, he was always moving. The classmates he had just gotten familiar with would soon become passersby, and he also had to constantly catch up with each new class's curriculum. It was incredibly boring.
Therefore, he simply suggested to his parents that he stop going to school. In the end, he had to study by himself anyway, and he couldn't participate in campus life at all.
Bai Lan was fairly smart, so getting good grades was easy for him. Going to school would instead affect his studies for all sorts of reasons.
His parents agreed, and the school turned a blind eye.
After that, he spent most of the year doing the things he liked, traveling all over the world and only returning for necessary exams.
A few months ago, Bai Lan's middle school homeroom teacher found him just after he had returned from wilderness survival abroad and told him that a school called Advanced Nurturing High School had invited him to take its entrance exam.
It was said that the school had an extremely free atmosphere and specialized in accepting students with strong personalities. It was full of geniuses, had a college admission rate of 99.9%, and even covered all tuition and miscellaneous fees!
After hearing the homeroom teacher's introduction, Bai Lan sensed the pattern of some kind of scam. His instincts told him that there was something wrong with this school.
But in reality, none of that mattered. Bai Lan didn't attend classes much anyway,
He would at most register under the school's name and get a diploma. The school's actual conditions didn't really matter.
But when he learned that the school was completely closed off and that, once he entered, he basically wouldn't be able to leave for three years,
He immediately refused.
After he refused,
His homeroom teacher went to see his parents.
Once his parents learned about the benefits of attending Advanced Nurturing High School, they came to persuade him as well.
Of course, what they valued most was that "the school would raise their child for three years."
They felt that, because of their work, their child had never been able to experience a complete elementary or middle school life.
If Bai Lan could enter this high school, he wouldn't have to travel all over the world with them anymore. He could settle down and enjoy a complete high school life.
That was what they thought, and that was how they persuaded Bai Lan.
Although Bai Lan had no interest in the so-called complete high school experience,
He knew that his parents were doing it for his own good.
To humor his parents, Bai Lan agreed to take the exam.
But he had only agreed to "take" it.
He had no intention of enrolling, so he didn't take the exam seriously at all. He only wanted to get it over with and leave.
To vent his dissatisfaction,
He deliberately tanked his scores on the written exam.
There were five subjects in total, and he scored 44, 44, 44, 44, and 44.
The number "4" was considered unlucky in Japan.
During the interview, he was completely uncooperative as well, playing dumb and answering every question with "I don't know." The only exception was when they asked about his "future plans." He was surprisingly serious then.
"I don't want to work. I only want to do the things I want to do, while making enough money to cover my living expenses."
"As for what I want to do lately? I have a few ideas. I want to fight a polar bear one-on-one, and then lie on the softest sofa without leaving the house and spend an entire year like that..."
The interviewers: I really want to beat this guy up.
After the exam ended,
Bai Lan thought, This one's in the bag.
However, he never could have imagined that
He had somehow still been accepted...
Reason for acceptance: Extremely unique personality.
Fuck...
Just as he was thinking, Forget it. I'll ask how to drop out,
The system awakened.
The system immediately threw out an "ultimate mission":
Mission objective: Complete his studies at Advanced Nurturing High School. Rewards: 1. Invincible Luck: The Goddess of Luck will stand by your side. 2. Extraordinary Physique: Off-the-charts performance, accelerated recovery, and an extended lifespan. Restrictions: 1. Dropping out voluntarily will cancel the Invincible Luck reward; 2. Dropping out due to failing the academic exams will cancel the Extraordinary Physique reward; Advance reward: Once the mission begins, you may first claim the "youth version" of one super ability (choose one of two): 1. Lucky Star: A treasure-hunting instinct and a slight boost to your luck; 2. Overlord Body: Increased recovery and stamina. Once activated, it boosts explosive power and overall resistance for a certain period of time.
After seeing the mission rewards, Bai Lan started drooling.
With unbeatable luck and a powerful, long-lived body, wouldn't he be able to do whatever he wanted without dying? Wouldn't he be able to spend the rest of his life playing around however he pleased?
When he saw that the mission required him to "complete his studies," Bai Lan had already prepared himself to endure three years in a closed-off environment for the sake of the rewards.
Fortunately, things took a turn.
The mission details showed that it actually allowed him to "complete his studies" by "dropping out"!
However, dropping out voluntarily or failing the academic exams would cancel one of the rewards.
Whether it was Invincible Luck or Extraordinary Physique, neither was something he was willing to lose.
Therefore, he couldn't drop out voluntarily, nor could he deliberately score zero and get expelled for failing his academic subjects.
But don't think that meant Bai Lan was out of options!
After all, those weren't the only two ways to drop out.
One had to know that seriously violating the school's rules and regulations could also result in expulsion!
Bai Lan planned to complete his dropout through "disciplinary violations."
Of course, Bai Lan only wanted to drop out. He had no intention of going to prison.
If he went to prison, he would be confined in a cage even less free than Advanced Nurturing High School, making it even more impossible for him to go out and roam the world.
