I knew I'd gotten a little carried away in the heat of the moment, but Kirara, did she really have to be this angry?
"If you need to change, you can do it yourself. Ash really doesn't know how to come up with a better excuse." Grumbling about Ash, whom she had chased out the door, Kirara took some spare clothes from the wardrobe beside her. "So? Want me to help you change, Princess Twilight?"
"Heh." Twilight pulled up the strap that had slipped down her shoulder during their scuffle, then accepted the clothes. Yet the gaze she gave Kirara, who had saved her, was inexplicably hostile. "As expected of a Pretty Cure, I suppose? You drove him away so easily. Your way of getting along with that King really is interesting."
Though she had plenty of complaints about Ash's "bestial urges" too, she definitely didn't like being interrupted by a Pretty Cure like this.
Twilight had never been polite to Kirara when they had been enemies. Though they had settled their past grievances afterward, now that they were rivals in love, their relationship was destined to be anything but good.
And frankly, unlike Towa, she herself had been born from the despair of darkness. What she had done was done. She would apologize to no one but Ash, and she had never once considered atonement.
"Oh, don't call him King." Compared to Twilight's openly hostile provocation, Kirara looked utterly unconcerned. "To us, it's enough that he's Ash."
Annoying.
Seeing Kirara act so lightheartedly, Twilight felt inexplicably annoyed... or perhaps jealous.
"To face a king and yet remain utterly unaware of your own position... that's quite a bold thing to say." Twilight finished dressing, the black dress draping over her body and echoing the shadows on her face. "But I
